Box truck door spring repair
Your truck's roll-up door is heavy or won't stay open? It's almost always the spring. We adjust or replace it on site.
Above a roll-up door, a counterbalance spring carries most of the door's weight. It lets you lift the door with one hand and keeps it open while you load. After thousands of cycles a year, it loses tension or breaks.
Signs
- The door comes back down on its own
- It takes a lot of effort to lift
- It goes up crooked or in jerks
- A loud snap above the door
What we do
- Spring tension adjustment
- Replacement of a broken or worn spring
- Cable and bracket check
- Door balancing and testing
Safety: the spring is under tension. Don't touch it, and don't walk under a door that won't stay up.
